Skills for the future

At Mercuria, we understand the importance of empowering our employees and valuing their development and growth. We firmly believe that our success is directly linked to the success of our employees, and that’s why we prioritize their well-being and career development. Our Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility & Compliance departments play a crucial role in achieving this objective.

We are committed to the growth and development of our employees, and it is clear that by helping them to develop the skills needed for the future, we can leverage our internal capabilities and better achieve sustainable growth.

To achieve our goals of building a diverse and high-performing team, we offer a range of programs and initiatives that support employee development, and our HR team is committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

In line with this commitment, we have upgraded our learning hub, providing a comprehensive library suite of required annual trainings. This platform allows for continued education for all employees, ensuring they remain up-to-date with essential knowledge and skills. We offer a combination of training types, from on-the-job experiences and employee shadowing to peer-to-peer coaching and specific in-person and online development programs.

We recognize that learning is an ongoing process, which is why we are relaunching our lunch and learn programs in our main offices, following a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. These programs are designed to provide employees with an opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. They are tailored to allow employees to expand their skillsets, improve their performance, and achieve their full potential.

Furthermore, we believe in creating synergies and fostering better collaboration between regions, teams, and our business partners. To help achieve this goal, we have implemented a performance management plan that enables managers to regularly share feedback with our employees and recognize their valuable contributions.
